2. What Personal Data We Process and Why

a) Hosting and server access logs

The Website is hosted on GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P Kelly Jr Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When you visit any page, GitHub's servers automatically record standard access-log data: your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, the page requested, and the date and time of the request.

We do not have direct access to these logs; they are processed by GitHub under its own privacy obligations as detailed in the GitHub Privacy Statement. Where a transfer of IP addresses to GitHub's US infrastructure occurs, it is covered by GitHub's Standard Contractual Clauses.
Legal basis: legitimate interest in operating a publicly available website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

b) Email contact

The Website provides an email address (info@volar-robotics.com) for enquiries. If you write to us, we process the personal data contained in your message (at minimum your email address, and any information you choose to include) solely in order to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, for any subsequent business communication. We do not add your address to any mailing list, and we do not share it with third parties except where strictly necessary to handle your request.
Legal basis: legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), or, where the communication relates to a potential or existing contract, performance of or steps prior to a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Retention: email correspondence is kept for as long as the underlying business relationship or enquiry is active, and for a reasonable period thereafter for record-keeping purposes, subject to any overriding legal obligation.

3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

This Website does not set any cookies or deploy any analytics, advertising, or tracking technologies. All fonts are self-hosted; no requests are made to external CDNs. See our Cookie Policy for full details.

4. Data Sharing and Transfers

We do not sell personal data. Beyond the hosting arrangement with GitHub described above, we do not share personal data with third parties unless required to do so by law or by a competent authority.

5. Your Rights Under the GDPR

Subject to the conditions and exceptions set out in the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access — obtain confirmation of whether we process personal data about you and, if so, a copy of it (Art. 15).
  • Rectification — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data (Art. 16).
  • Erasure — request deletion of your personal data in certain circumstances (Art. 17).
  • Restriction — request that we restrict processing in certain circumstances (Art. 18).
  • Portability — receive data you have provided to us in a structured, machine-readable format (Art. 20).
  • Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21); we will cease processing unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@volar-robotics.com. We will respond within one calendar month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian supervisory authority:

The Website is served exclusively over HTTPS. We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures proportionate to the minimal data processing described above.
